Add prospects to a sequence

One Slack request. List to sequence in minutes, not a morning.

Book a Demo

The problem

A morning of adding prospects, one at a time.

An SDR gets a fresh list and spends the morning in Outreach: import the file, match the columns, then add each prospect to the sequence and set the owner.

Owner mapping is where it slips. Prospects land under the wrong rep, replies route to someone who never sent the email, and the manager untangles it later.

The outcome

List to sequence in minutes

Stepwork imports the prospect list into Outreach and enrolls each prospect in the named sequence with the correct owner. The run records who asked, which list it used, and how many prospects were enrolled.

  • Each prospect is enrolled in the named sequence.
  • Owners follow the mapping in the request.
  • Prospects already active in another sequence are skipped and listed.

The process

From prospect list to an active sequence

An SDR posts the list and sequence in Slack. Stepwork enrolls the prospects in Outreach, in the same order every time.

  1. Step 1

    Request it in Slack

An SDR posts the prospect list, the sequence name, and the owner in the sales channel. That message starts the flow, and Stepwork records who asked and when.

  2. Step 2

    Import the list

Stepwork signs in to Outreach and imports the list, matching each column to the right prospect field. If the sequence in the request cannot be found, the run stops.

  3. Step 3

    Enroll in the sequence

Stepwork adds each prospect to the sequence with the owner from the request. Prospects already active in another sequence are skipped.

  4. Step 4

    Confirm and reply in Slack

Stepwork checks the enrollments against the list, then posts the counts back in Slack.

Why Stepwork

Every prospect lands with the right owner

A deterministic agent runs the import and enroll path you recorded in Outreach. Owner mapping comes from the request, not from whoever builds the list that morning.

FAQ

Common questions

  • Post the list, the sequence name, and the owner in Slack. Stepwork imports the prospects into Outreach, enrolls each one in the sequence, and replies with the counts.
  • Stepwork skips them and lists them in the Slack reply, so nobody receives two sequences at once.
  • Any list you post. If your team builds lists in Apollo, building a prospect list from an ICP search is a separate flow that produces one.
