Remove Airtable collaborator

One Slack request. Base access closed across workspaces.

Book a Demo

The problem

They left. They can still open the bases.

Airtable access is spread across workspaces, so offboarding means clicking through each one by hand. Miss a workspace and a former employee still opens business data.

Owners rarely keep a full list of who can see which base. The sweep waits on whoever remembers, and access lags the rest of offboarding.

The outcome

Business data stops being reachable by former staff

Stepwork removes the collaborator from every workspace they can access. Base access ends with the request as one step of employee offboarding, and the run records who asked and when.

Employee offboarding
  • They are removed from each workspace they could access.
  • Bases in those workspaces are no longer reachable to them.
  • If the email matches nobody, the run stops.

The process

From Slack request to closed Airtable access

A teammate posts the request in Slack. Stepwork removes the collaborator across workspaces, in the same order every time.

  1. Step 1

    Request it in Slack

A teammate posts the departing employee’s work email in the offboarding channel. That message starts the flow, and Stepwork records who asked and when.

    Step 1Request it in Slack

  2. Step 2

    Find their workspaces

Stepwork signs in to Airtable and lists the workspaces and bases the collaborator can access.

    Step 2Find their workspaces

  3. Step 3

    Remove them everywhere

Stepwork removes the collaborator from each of those workspaces.

    Step 3Remove them everywhere

  4. Step 4

    Confirm and reply in Slack

Stepwork checks that they no longer appear as a collaborator, then posts the result back in Slack.

Why Stepwork

Every workspace is on the path

Stepwork runs the workspace sweep you recorded, not a single base someone remembered. Access ends across Airtable with the rest of employee offboarding.
