Invite 1Password member

One Slack request. Team vaults on day one.

Book a Demo

The problem

Day one waits on vault-by-vault invites.

New hires need the shared credentials their team already uses. IT invites them, then clicks through each vault by hand, often missing one until someone asks in Slack.

Access depends on whoever owns each vault that week. Two people in the same role rarely get the same set on day one.

The outcome

Team credentials on day one

Stepwork invites the member and grants access to the standard vaults for their team from the request. They can unlock what their role needs, and the run records who asked and which vaults were added.

  • The invite uses the email from the request.
  • Each named team vault is included.
  • A vault that does not exist stops the run.

The process

From Slack request to ready vault access

A teammate posts the new hire and vaults in Slack. Stepwork invites them and grants vault access in 1Password.

  1. Step 1

    Request it in Slack

A teammate posts the new hire’s work email and team vaults in the onboarding channel. That message starts the flow, and Stepwork records who asked and when.

  2. Step 2

    Send the invite

Stepwork signs in to the 1Password admin console and invites the member.

  3. Step 3

    Grant team vaults

Stepwork adds the member to each named team vault with the permission level from the request.

  4. Step 4

    Confirm and reply in Slack

Stepwork checks the invite and vault access against the request, then posts the result back in the onboarding channel.

Why Stepwork

The same role gets the same vaults

Stepwork runs the invite path you recorded. Vaults come from the request, not from whoever happens to own each vault that day.
